Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a National Day of Service to honor Dr. King's commitment and contributions to the Civil Rights Movement and social justice. Join the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning and people across the nation on as we serve our local community in Dr. King's memory.
Why We Serve
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'"
The MLK Jr. Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.
The center is proud to announce that the 2019 MLK Day Service Project is also officially part of the national movement as a registered project through the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Our 2019 MLK Jr. Day of Service project is now full. Thank you to all who registered!
If you aren't able to attend our 2019 project but are still interested in serving at Home Sweet Home Ministries (our 2019 MLK Jr. Day of Service host), they always have a variety of volunteer openings at various times.
